Het waarom van Stichting Morgan Museum.

Veel liefhebbers van het automerk Morgan hebben verzamelingen aangelegd. Dat kan “van alles en nog wat zijn” als het maar te maken heeft met dit illustere automerk. Sommigen verzamelden alleen boeken of folders en weer anderen specialiseerden zich in badges, speldjes of modelautoos.

Helaas, komt er een moment in ieders leven waar men, al dan niet vrijwillig, moet beslissen wat er met de verzameling Morgan spullen moet gebeuren. Uit ervaring is gebleken dat het verstandig is dit van te voren, b.v. testamentair, te regelen. Er zijn gevallen waarin nabestaanden besloten hebben om deze verzameling in de vuilcontainer te gooien.

Wie waarde hecht aan z’n collectie of verzameling kan daar nu, in samenwerking met de Stichting Morgan Museum, een toekomst aan bieden waarbij deze 'parafernalia' met anderen gedeeld kan worden door het aanschouwelijk en toegankelijk te maken. Uiteraard blijft de naam van de schenker verbonden aan de opgebouwde collectie.

Many enthusiasts of the Morgan car brand have built collections. That can be "anything and everything" as long as it has to do with this illustrious car brand.
Some only collected books or brochures and others specialized in badges, pins or model cars.

Unfortunately, a moment comes in everyone's life where people, whether voluntarily or not, have to decide what to do with the Morgan collection. Experience has shown that it is wise to do this in advance, e.g. testamentary. There are cases in which relatives have decided to throw the collection in the garbage container.

Those who value their collection can now, in collaboration with the Morgan Museum Foundation, offer a future where this 'paraphernalia' can be shared with others by making it visible and accessible. The name of the donor will of course remain linked to the accumulated collection.
